Scandic Hotels has made a significant move to bolster its presence in Sweden by signing two long-term lease agreements with JV Nordväst Fastighet AB. The agreements involve the takeover of two strategically located hotels in Helsingborg and Jönköping, which together house 199 rooms. The properties will undergo extensive renovations to align with Scandic’s innovative Scandic Go brand standards and are set to open during the first half of 2026.

Hilton, a global leader in hospitality, announced on November 18 its partnership with Olive by Embassy to launch 150 Spark by Hilton properties across India. This move signifies the brand’s official entry into the Asia Pacific region. The inaugural Spark by Hilton hotels are planned for Southern India, with a focus on key states such as Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
