Iroko Zen buys Premier Inn hotel in Sunderland

French SCPI fund Iroko Zen has purchased a Premier Inn Hotel in Sunderland. Located in the city centre at 1-3 Hind Street, the hotel comprises 125 bedrooms and a Thyme Bar & Grill arranged over ground and five upper floors.

The fire broke out at MMV Plagne 2000 in the early hours of Wednesday morning

More than 500 people were evacuated including British guests. There were no serious injuries. The alarm was raised at 2.45AM and 460 holidaymakers and 60 staff were evacuated. They were put up in the sports hall at Plagne Centre as a major event plan was put in place. 90 firefighters battled the blaze.
