Following the sale, Dalhousie Castle will be managed by hotel management company 7 Hospitality, with the existing staff remaining in post. Commenting on the sale Robert Parker said: “It has been an honour and a privilege to act as the stewards of Dalhousie Castle for the past 11 years and are excited for the future of the castle and the team. The new owners have exciting plans and will continue to support the team to deliver wonderful guest experiences in this world-famous setting.”
RPC Hotels Ltd retains three other properties in the collection: Doxford Hall Hotel & Spa (Alnwick), Ednam House Hotel (Kelso) and Eshott Hall (Morpeth). The Robert Parker Collection was officially launched in 2015. The collection of country house hotels was started in 2008 with the purchase of Guyzance Hall in Northumberland. The Collection is owned by Robert and Gina Parker. They put the four hotels up for sale with Christie + Co in May after announcing their decision to retire. The news followed the sale of fifth property in the group, The Wordsworth Hotel in the Lake District, which was sold to The Inn Collection for an undisclosed sum in November 2022.
