Overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui offers guests the perfect escape and the rare opportunity to put their feet up while being surrounded by ocean views and rich tropical greenery. The resort features private villas, each donned with its own pool and beach access, along with other amenities such as the popular Secret Garden Spa and Koh Thai Kitchen & Bar. But it’s not just beaches, great food and amazing food for fans of the show.

“Certain villas and residences, particularly those prominently featured in the series, have seen increased interest. One standout is Residence 9, a multi-level villa nestled on a secluded hillside, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand. Guests are increasingly drawn to accommodations that reflect the show’s atmosphere, seeking experiences that merge exclusivity with cinematic beauty,” a hotel spokesperson told USA Today.

But Koh Samui isn’t the only place in Thailand where filming took place.

According to People and the show’s executive director, David Bernard, it took not one but four different resorts to get the setting right for season 3.

The first two seasons of “White Lotus” were shot at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea in Hawaii and San Domenico Palace in Taormina, Sicily. However, the third season required four hotels to be combined into one perfect setting even though two hundred miles separated them.

Bernard and creator Mike White had worked together on the show’s first two seasons and heard about an amazing Four Seasons property in Thailand. They couldn’t resist. “The hotel was just so perfect. It called our name,” said Bernard.

However, the perfect Four Seasons hotel didn’t quite have everything the script called for. So naturally, the showrunners set out to find the perfect locations for certain scenes. Other parts of season 3 also include a mash-up of real-life locations, such as the dining areas and the hotel’s reception center.

According to HBO, the bar is actually located at the Singing Bird Lounge at Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort. That resort also served as the lobby, security station, hotel driveway, employee parking lot, and jewelry store. The dinner restaurant was at the Ta Khai at Rosewood Phuket, while the wellness sanctuary, spa, and Belinda’s room were filmed at the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket.

But beautiful scenery wasn’t the only reason Bernard and White were drawn to Thailand. Another reason was because of the weather and the tropical setting of season 3.
