Plaza Premium opens “land-to-air premium airport experience” at new Qingdao airport

The facilities are housed within two areas – a three-floor VIP building located in the arrivals area, and three lounges within the departures area.

The 6,500 sqm VIP building features a 54-room Areotel, a Plaza Premium lounge, and 11 VIP rooms which offer “designated spaces for corporations to provide private and premium airport services to affluent travellers”, including include private check-in, concierge, dining and lounge services, and fast track / curb-to-apron services for those departing at the Domestic terminal.

Meanwhile in the departures area the three pay-per-use lounges are located on the airside third floor of Terminal 1 near the boarding gates, and on the East and West sides of the Central Landscape Area.

Facilities vary per lounge, but the group said they would include fast track services, food and beverage options, showers, private resting areas, massage and beauty services, and VIP meet and greet.

Situated 24 miles north of the city centre, Qingdao Jiaodong International airport opened on August 12, replacing the city’s Qingdao Liuting International. The new airport has a capacity for around 35 million passengers per year.

Plaza Premium Group recently announced a collaboration with DragonPass to develop a network lounges at China’s major high-speed railway stations.
