In China, buoyed by an increase in domestic tourism and a growing demand for new experiences, New Worlds Hotels and Resorts steers towards significant growth. As the brand’s momentum continues to grow, three more hotels in Chongqing, Taishan and Guangzhou will open doors in the autumn in 2023 after New World Shijiazhuang Hutuo Resort started operating in June.
In June this year, Rosewood Hotel Group, the mother company of New World Hotels and Resorts, transitioned and rebranded all KHOS properties to New World Hotels and Resort and opened three hotels in China. This strategic move brings a new phase of development for the brand in the region. After that, the brand can raise its presence and reach out broader audience in China.
Furthermore, New World Hotels and Resorts entered a joint venture called World Tongpai Hotels Group with Rezen Group, a subsidiary of Trip.com Group to develop and operate all newly opened New World Hotels & Resorts in Mainland China in 2021. It established a three-year goal to develop 10 New World Hotels & Resorts in Mainland China, with a focus on promoting advanced digital transformation through all hotels. Until now, the group has opened a property and seven properties are currently under development.

In addition, New Worlds Hotels and Resorts developed in Vietnam and Japan, the brand will open its fifth property in Vietnam with New World Nha Trang Hotel and New World La Plume Niseko Resort in Japan in 2024 to further strengthen the brand presence in the country respectively.
Recently, Rosewood Hotel Group outlined its plans to empower people across the brand's entire ecosystem and a sustainability approach that put circular hospitality at the core of business operations. Also known as "Rosewood Impacts", the groupwide roadmap was both a recognition of the group's ongoing programmes and a strategic roadmap for future efforts. With tangible goals in the fields of sustainability, employment, partnerships and more, the comprehensive roadmap championed consequential policies and programming under two distinct pillars including Rosewood Empowers and Rosewood Sustains.
