In one of the two spots in the campaign, Jokic and Watson walk in a hotel lobby with a pony between them. Watson asks the veteran player if he’s sure it’s okay to have the animal in the hotel with them, to which Jokic replies, “This hotel is pet friendly.” In the second spot, Butler and Jaquez sit at an outdoor table, each with a cup of coffee and a cup of espresso in front of them. As Butler carefully sniffs and tastes the two drinks, Jaquez follows suit. The spot concludes with Butler saying, “I love a good side-by-side comparison, especially with the Hotels.com app.”

“This campaign is rooted in the insight that being on the road for over 40 games and 40,000 miles every season makes NBA players quite the hotel experts,” said Michele Rousseau, Expedia Group’s senior vice president of global marketing, in a statement. “Teaming up with last season’s NBA conference MVPs adds that winning touch, inspiring fans to find their perfect somewhere and make the most of their hotel stay.”

The campaign will premiere during the NBA’s marquee games on Christmas Day and will run through the end of the year. Entering its fourth year as the  “Official Travel Partner of the NBA,” Hotels.com will also place branding elements in team arenas around the country and in the official NBA2K video game.
