Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Wyndham Garden hotel in India: the 81-room Wyndham Garden Sonipat Murthal in Haryana.

Owned and operated by Delhi-based Rajdhani Realcon Private Limited, one of India’s leading real estate and hotel development companies, the hotel is an important step in Wyndham’s ongoing expansion in India – where it currently has over 60 hotels open nationwide.

Just last month, Wyndham announced exclusive development agreement with NILE Hospitality LLP to introduce its Microtel by Wyndham brand to India, unveiling plans to open 40 hotels there by 2031. Following this announcement, Wyndham, the world’s largest hotel franchisor with approximately 9,200 hotels spanning more than 95 countries – now has hotels open or under development in India under nine of its 25 brands.

Dimitris Manikis, President, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA, said: “The launch of Wyndham Garden Sonipat Murthal is a significant milestone in Wyndham’s expansion in North India, particularly within the National Capital Region. As our first Wyndham Garden hotel in the country, it highlights the growing importance of mid-scale brands in meeting the increasing demand for affordable, high-quality accommodations».
