The suspects reportedly used a ruse to lure the victim to her hotel door, where they claimed to need help. When the woman opened the door, she was jumped and beaten with one of the lamps inside her room, according to sources. The injured robbery victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for emergency care. A Yarmouth Police Detective responded and began working the case. A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit responded to document evidence. A Yarmouth Police K9 unit had a strong track which led officers into the old, overgrown cranberry bogs behind CCH, where people have been known to live in tents.

The female suspect was described as a “Hispanic” looking woman wearing dark clothing. The male was heavyset, with a beard. Police responded to multiple 911 calls, one of which, a female was heard saying, “I’ll give you everything I have.”

In the early morning hours of September 21st, a young woman allegedly knocked on a motel room door requesting help. She told the person who answered she was trying to escape being assaulted in the motel’s parking lot. A short time later, that woman assaulted the person who tried to help her, stole a purse and ran from the motel.

Multiple officers and a K9 Team combed the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Yarmouth Police. The investigation is currently ongoing.
