Vastint eyes sale of £500m UK Marriott hotel portfolio

International real estate company Vastint is looking to sell £500m worth of its UK hotel portfolio following a strategic review.
The portfolio includes 15 purpose-built Marriott-branded hotels with a total of 3,230 rooms which are operated by Vastint’s in-house management platform, Hotel Co 51 UK, via franchise agreements.
The properties up for sale are predominantly located in city centres and major transport hubs and include the largest Moxy collection in Europe, as well as AC by Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott hotels.
Each property on the market holds Green Key and LEED or BREEAM certifications.
Real estate and investment management company JLL and professional services firm KPMG have been appointed by Vastint to oversee the sale.
Vastint also operates Moxy hotels across Germany, Norway, Vienna and Denmark.
