Travelodge Set To Transform Spain’s Budget Hotel Market With Three Major New Openings

International news
Budget hotel chain Travelodge is pushing forward with its growth in Spain by securing agreements for three new hotels. These upcoming properties will be located in the popular cities of San Sebastian, Cadiz, and Alicante, marking an important step in the company’s expansion strategy. Once these hotels open, Travelodge’s presence in Spain will increase to a total of 15 properties.

Last year, Travelodge revealed plans to focus on Spain, citing a significant gap in the availability of budget accommodation across the country. The addition of these three new properties will bring a combined total of 263 rooms to Travelodge’s portfolio in Spain, with construction scheduled to commence in 2025. The exact opening dates of these hotels are yet to be confirmed.

Earlier this year, Travelodge made a significant move by doubling its Spanish presence through the acquisition of six properties from the Louvre Hotels Group.

The new San Sebastian location will feature 78 rooms, while the Cadiz and Alicante hotels will offer 103 and 82 rooms respectively. Each hotel will also boast Travelodge’s signature 85 Bar Café, an in-house restaurant concept designed to enhance the guest experience.
