Since its inception in 2010, YHS has grown into a global platform connecting hospitality students with industry leaders. Last year’s summit brought together over 300 students from 40 hospitality schools across 19 countries, fostering discussions on overcoming traditional industry challenges. The 2025 edition aims to continue this momentum, addressing key concerns related to balancing quantity and quality while optimizing finite resources in hospitality.
This year, the summit will feature keynote addresses from industry figures such as Dr. Carole Ackermann, chairwoman of the EHL Board of Directors; Ludovic Du Plessis, president and CEO of Maison Telmont; and Nicholas Mellis, vice president of European acquisitions at Highgate.
Panel discussions will cover topics such as YHS’s evolution, food and beverage innovation and the impact of overtourism on global travel, while interactive workshops will encourage collaboration and creative problem-solving. A highlight of the summit is the YHS Challenge, organized in partnership with STR Share Center, where participants will develop strategies under the theme “Overtourism: Keeping the Balance.”
