From being the first hotel with an electric lift to being the first with electric lights, The Savoy is no stranger to being ahead of the curve on London’s hospitality scene: when it opened, it was also the capital’s first ever luxury hotel.
Fast forward to 2025 and its innovation continues with a new ‘lobby’ concept which has now been unveiled and includes a decadent new dining spot, The Gallery, alongside Scoff, a scone shop, and floral boutique, The Florist at The Savoy.
This mini ground-floor refurbishment ushers in a new era at the hotel, yet doesn’t forget its roots. The Gallery, an all-day dining restaurant, is a reimagining of the Thames Foyer, which sits beyond the lobby at the heart of the hotel. The glass domed atrium has been given a glamorous makeover by Shayne Brady, director of London-based studio, BradyWilliams. Adding a contemporary flair, the new interiors remain in keeping with the heritage of The Savoy.
