Skift Expands Business Offerings With 2 Acquisitions

International news

Travel intelligence and marketing platform Skift announced the acquisition of two travel-adjacent platforms: Women Leading Travel & Hospitality, a women’s member organization, and Hospitality.fm, a podcast studio.

CEO Rafat Ali said the acquisitions “are part of our intentional growth strategy, balancing simplicity and complexity to build resilience into our media ecosystem. They bring deeper community engagement and new multimedia dimensions that complement and improve upon our diversified revenue streams of media, research, events, advisory, and executive search.”

Women Leading Travel & Hospitality is a travel leadership and event community connecting executive women across all sectors of travel and hospitality with the mission to unite, educate, and inspire. Hannah DeMaio will continue to oversee the organization, with Ali saying, “We’re deeply committed to scaling this community globally and integrating it within Skift’s broader ecosystem.”

Hospitality.fm, founded by Wil Slickers, will lead Skift’s audio and video strategy. Slickers will help the company meet the exploding demand for dynamic content available on platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and beyond.

In addition to overseeing Hospitality.fm’s podcast offerings, which include Good Morning Hospitality, Slickers will also be responsible for Skift’s media products, including Skift Travel Podcast and Airline Weekly Lounge, and the company’s video assets from its global forums and summits.
