Rosewood opens luxury resort in Austria

International news
Rosewood Schloss Fuschl has opened its doors in Salzburg, Austria. Sitting atop Lake Fuschl and the base of the Austrian Alps, the 15th century castle was restored and reimagined to reopen as the Rosewood hotel.

Rosewood Schloss Fuschl offers 98 rooms, including 42 suites and six chalets. Originally constructed in 1461 as a hunting lodge for the Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg, the hotel was converted into a luxury hotel in 1947. Guests can enjoy guided fishing excursions on the lake, forest foraging and cooking expeditions in neighboring alpine huts.

The luxury resort includes a restaurant, bar, a 1,500-square-meter spa with indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center and a leisure beach club. This is Rosewood’s second property in Austria, following the opening of Rosewood Vienna in 2022. Rosewood’s global portfolio consists of 33 luxury hotels, resorts and residences across 21 countries.
