Rosewood Hotel Group introduces global gender-neutral parental leave

International news
Rosewood Hotel Group has launched a global parental leave policy that offers a minimum standard of 16 weeks of fully-paid parental leave across its international portfolio.

Effective as of this year, the policy applies equally to mothers, fathers, non-birth partners, and diverse family structures. It covers birth, adoption, surrogacy, and other pathways to parenthood, where permitted by local law.

The global standard supplements local statutory parental leave entitlements. Where local paid leave falls below 16 weeks, the group will top up pay to ensure eligible staff receive 100% pay for at least 16 weeks.

The policy reflects the group’s commitment to staff wellbeing, personal development, and workplace equity across its corporate offices and properties worldwide. It wanted to offer tangible support for working parents during one of life’s most significant milestones, and improve inclusive workplace practices.

By embedding consistent support into its global standards and recognising all paths to parenthood, Rosewood Hotel Group is removing a barrier to career continuity and progression, while reinforcing its commitment to inclusion and equitable opportunities across regions and cultures.
