Rixos Group opens flagship hotel in Istanbul
The Rixos Tersane Istanbul – located in Tersane Istanbul, a oastal destination in the city’s Golden Horn aka Haliç – has officially opened its doors. Inaugurated with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the property has 432 rooms, including 57 suites with waterfront views.
Expressing his insights on this highly-anticipated investment, Fettah Tamince, chairman of the board of Rixos Hotels, said: “We are revitalising the 600-year-old Tersane Istanbul, which reflects the most valuable elements of Istanbul’s cultural and industrial heritage yet has been in disuse for many years, thanks to the vision of our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the efforts of our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and we are restoring it as a modern living space for the citizens of Istanbul.”
Inspired by its location, the Rixos Tersane Istanbul has curated a special art collection under the theme of cultural sustainability. This collection will feature contemporary artworks by both local and international artists, accompanied by a catalog and digital archive.
