The unique accommodation is a partnership between Not A Hotel and Pokémon Sleep, a sleep-tracking game app partly developed by the Pokemon Company.
It will open in celebration of the third anniversary of Pokémon Sleep and the 30th anniversary of Pokémon this year.
"For years, Pokémon fans have dreamed of stepping inside a Poké Ball," it added. "Not A Hotel, leveraging its architectural and technological expertise, has turned that dream into a reality."
Situated in a vast forest beside a lake, the Poké Ball guesthouse is surrounded by lush nature. Inside, a circular monitor installed above the window will display images of Pokémon.
The Poké Ball hotel is not accepting bookings from the public. Instead, 10 groups of 20 guests will be selected via a competition, which is running through 30 September and limited to residents of Japan aged 18 and over.
