The 76-bedroom Arthouse Glasgow will be a first for the company, which intends to develop heritage properties for modern city stays. The firm is the brainchild of US property developer William Riordan and private investment executive Andrew Dean.
The hotel will be the new home for Dean and Anna Parker’s Michelin Bib Gourmand Celentano’s Italian restaurant, following the announcement of its relocation from Cathedral House, where it has been based for the past four years.
All of the 76 rooms in the 19th-century townhouse will be ensuite and will be split across four categories to allow a range of options and price points. Oberland has added 17 bedrooms to the previous hotel layout to provide this broader range.
Following Arthouse Glasgow, Oberland plans to open a site in Manchester later in 2026, with further openings slated for the UK and Europe.
