Partnering with global investment firm KKR, Marriott continues to strengthen its presence in the midscale hotel segment.
Looking ahead, Marriott plans to open 12 additional Four Points Flex by Sheraton properties across Japan by the end of this year. These openings will introduce the brand to new markets, including Morioka and Kanazawa, further diversifying Marriott’s footprint. By early 2025, a total of 14 properties will have joined the brand through this collaborative expansion with KKR, adding over 3,600 rooms to its portfolio. Key destinations such as Hakodate, Utsunomiya, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, and Hakata will benefit from these additions.
