A man from Nottingham has died after falling from a building in St Ives. Devon and Cornwall Police say the man, in his 50s, fell onto Porthminster Beach.
Police were called to the beach on Thursday (August 10) at 7.05pm. Cornwall Live reports that it's understood the man fell from Pedn Olva Hotel, owned by St Austell Brewery.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of the emergency services. A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
In a statement, they said: "Police were called at 7.05pm on 10 August following reports that a man had fallen from a property onto Porthminster Beach at St Ives.
