The victim, identified by the Orange County Medical Examiner as Jeffery Vanden Boom, 39, died from blunt force trauma on Wednesday morning.

Boom's death has been ruled as an accidental fall from the balcony of his hotel room.

Orange County Sheriff's Office said: 'On July 26, 2023 at 5:33 a.m, deputies responded to the Contemporary Resort after a call came in about a man found unresponsive on the hotel grounds. He was pronounced deceased on scene.

DailyMail.com has approached Disney for comment on the incident but has not yet received a response.

On Reddit, one user had expressed their fear that someone had died at the hotel on Wednesday morning after being told not to go on the balconies.

They posted: 'I'm pretty sure someone just died at our hotel. We got a call at 7:30 someone had a medical emergency and not to go on the balconies and then they had people redirecting us.

'And then we went outside and there's a tent set up right under a balcony and a it's all taped up. and a bunch of police vans and a van that says crime scene investigators.

'It's really sad but I think because of where it happened somebody jumped off the balcony.

Another person commented that the fifth-floor sky bridge connecting the main building to the Bay Lake Tower at the resort was closed off as police investigated.
