Luxury Scottish hotel on banks of iconic loch sold in potential £100 million deal

International news
A luxury five-star hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond has been sold in a blockbuster deal that could worth up to £100 million. If the estate sold for its asking price it means that Cameron House has become the third hotel in Scotland to be sold for for nine figures, joining the likes of the Gleneagles resort and W Hotel, Edinburgh.

The estate has been acquired by Victory Group, which operates a large collection of luxury assets including the Fairmont Grand Hotel in Geneva, from private equity firm KSL Capital Partners.

It was floated for sale in October 2025 for offers around £100m. KSL Capital Partners acquired Cameron House in November 2015 from previous owner Q Hotels, for a reported £70m.

In 2024 it was named among the top 10 best places to visit in the UK, alongside Gleneagles.

The main house was built in the mid-18th-century before a baronial castle was added in 1830, suffering a fire in 1865 before being rebuilt.

The wider estate includes 44-hectares of land. In total it is home to 208 bedrooms including 28 suites, multiple restaurants and bars, a luxury spa, marina and two golf courses, including the 18-hole Championship course, The Carrick. There are also 115 self-catered lodges on the estate.
