International news
In the first eight months of 2025, international hotel chains in the Lithuanian capital reached an occupancy rate of 77.8%, ahead of Riga at 72% and Tallinn at 70.8%. The city also leads the Baltic region in revenue per available room and average daily rate, reflecting an upswing in travel demand.

This momentum is reinforced by global recognition and new openings. Lithuania earned its first two Michelin Keys this year, with Hotel PACAI in Vilnius among the honorees. Meanwhile, the modern AC Hotel by Marriott has just opened its doors in a key location – adjacent to both the Old Town and the modern business district.

International hotel chains in Vilnius are showing steady, long-term growth. In the first eight months of 2025, their occupancy rate reached 77.8%, up from 74.5% in 2024 and 69.1% in 2023.

Next year, the Lithuanian capital will welcome Europe’s leading hospitality professionals as it hosts the 93rd General Assembly of HOTREC — the umbrella organization representing the continent’s hotel, restaurant, café, and similar establishments.
