IHCL expands its footrpint in the Middle East announces two Taj hotels in Bahrain

IHCL has announced the signing of a luxury hotel and boutique resort in Bahrain, marking a significant milestone as the first Indian hospitality company to establish a presence in the Kingdom. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO, emphasised the strategic growth of Taj’s presence in key gateway cities worldwide, noting that these new hotels will extend IHCL’s footprint in the Middle East. Partnering with Kingdom Projects, IHCL aims to elevate Bahrain’s tourism landscape with its world-class hospitality.

The Taj resort in Hamala will feature 251 luxurious rooms, reflecting the island’s serene ambiance. It will offer upscale amenities, including an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a swimming pool, and an exclusive beach club. Designed to foster relaxation and rejuvenation, the resort will also include state-of-the-art wellness areas such as a gym and spa, and 1,200 sq. mt. of banquet facilities for grand events, enhancing its appeal in Bahrain’s leisure sector.

The 200-room Taj hotel in Downtown Seef, Manama, strategically located in Bahrain’s capital, will cater to both business travellers and tourists. It will provide diverse culinary experiences, wellness facilities including a gym, spa, and swimming pool, and banquet areas for meetings and events. Jalal Al Wazzan, Managing Director of Kingdom Projects, highlighted that this partnership aligns with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, aiming to attract global tourists and contribute to the national economy’s diversification.
