Hyatt brings the Venetian Las Vegas into the fold

International news
Hyatt Hotels Corp. has inked a long-term licensing agreement with the Venetian Resort Las Vegas, expanding its Las Vegas footprint by 7,000 rooms.

Under the deal, both The Venetian and its sister resort, the Palazzo, will become bookable via Hyatt's channels, including its website and mobile app. Additionally, World of Hyatt loyalty program members will soon be able to earn and redeem points at both properties, with elite Venetian Rewards members set to receive benefits within the World of Hyatt program.

Both Hyatt and the Venetian Resort also plan to collaborate on meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) business.

Mark Vondrasek, Hyatt's chief commercial officer, called the Venetian "a perennial favorite," adding that the partnership comes as Las Vegas demand runs high among Hyatt's group business customers, who are "requesting rooms at a higher volume than prepandemic due to the world-class entertainment and unique experiences offered by this dynamic destination."

The Venetian Resort is the second Las Vegas casino-resort to join the Hyatt fold this year, with the Rio Hotel & Casino officially transitioning to the Destination by Hyatt brand this past March.
