Hyatt and MEININGER expand in Germany's key cities

International news
Hyatt Hotels Corporation and MEININGER Hotels are expanding their presence in Germany with several new projects in key cities. These developments highlight the importance of Germany as a strategic market for both hotel groups, focusing on both urban and leisure offerings.

Hyatt’s return to Hamburg is marked by the planned opening of four new hotels by 2026. The portfolio will include the Hyatt Regency Hamburg Hafencity, Hyatt Centric Altstadt Hamburg, and two Me and All Hotels—one on Reeperbahn and another in St. Georg. These additions are part of Hyatt’s broader growth strategy to increase its capacity in Germany by 30% over the next three years. The recent acquisition of Me and All Hotels, a lifestyle brand, complements Hyatt's existing offerings and supports its plans for expansion.

MEININGER Hotels, meanwhile, has announced the development of a new property in Kiel, scheduled to open in 2027. Situated in the KoolKiel development, the hotel will offer 177 rooms across 12 floors, with accommodations suitable for a wide range of travelers, including double, triple, and family-sized rooms.

The KoolKiel project is being built with a focus on sustainability, featuring CO2-neutral hydrogen technology, in line with MEININGER's commitment to environmentally conscious operations.
