Hotel d'Inghilterra completes its extensive restyling

International news
Located just a few steps from the iconic Spanish Steps and the Via Condotti, the hotel’s innate elegance has been home of international patrons and Roman nobility since the mid 16th century.

European poets and artists such as Lord Byron, Christian Andersen and Ernest Hemingway, along with Hollywood celebrities such as Henry James and Elizabeth Taylor have also stayed at the hotel.

The entire restyling project was inspired by the Grand Tour era, during which time cultured travellers sought out prestigious accommodations like Hotel d’Inghilterra. It involved the restoration of the exteriors and the historic facade.

As part of “La Grande Bellezza – The Dream Factory” initiative, Starhotels’ patronage project to promote high Italian craftsmanship, Italian master craftsmen contributed to the hotel restoration. This collaboration has imbued the hotel with a renewed, authentic splendour, seamlessly integrating touches of Made in Italy design.

The new dimora features additions to new rooms and suites, a redesign of the famous bar and restaurant, with a new chef and food concept, a new spa and a spectacular terrace bar on the top floor.
