Historic Central Telegraph Building Reopens as Luxury Hotel Telegraph

International news
The iconic Central Telegraph Building in the heart of Tbilisi has completed its transformation into a five-star hotel. Hotel Telegraph will officially welcome its first guests on June 20, offering a blend of historical charm, refined design, and modern hospitality standards.

The original building, designed by celebrated Georgian architects Lado Aleksi-Meskhishvili and Teimuraz Mikashavidze, retains its historic façade. Inside, however, it has been reimagined as a modern, eco-conscious hotel that reflects the evolving standards of contemporary architecture and hospitality.

Hotel Telegraph is a major project by the Silk Road Group, representing a total investment of EUR 65 million, with financial backing from TBC Bank and Bank of Georgia. The hotel features 239 guest rooms across nine categories, seven diverse restaurants, a jazz club, bar, and fully equipped banquet and conference spaces.

A landmark achievement, the Telegraph has become the first hotel in the region to join The Leading Hotels of the World, one of the most prestigious global hotel associations. This milestone positions the hotel—and Tbilisi itself—on the international map for luxury travel and hospitality.
