The 105-room hotel is located next to the city’s main Nice-Ville rail station, within the striking glass-fronted Iconic building.
The building was designed by Polish-American architect Daniel Libeskind, who has also been responsible for projects including the reconstructed World Trade Center in New York, and the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester.
The 19,000 sqm development also features an auditorium, restaurants, shops and office space.
Initially a US-focused brand, Hilton opened its first UK DoubleTree in 2008, and now has over 680 properties across 56 countries and territories.
