A 680-room hotel developed by a Philippine company opened in Madrid on Tuesday, March 10, becoming one of the largest hotels in Spain and the first overseas property of a Filipino homegrown hotel brand.

The newly opened Hotel101-Madrid is operated by Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp., a subsidiary of Philippine-listed DoubleDragon Corporation.

The hotel is situated near the Ciudad Real Madrid, the training facility of Real Madrid CF, and is also close to the planned Formula 1 Madrid Grand Prix circuit.

It is located a few minutes from Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport and near IFEMA Madrid, one of Spain’s largest convention centers.

Hotel101-Madrid offers standardized “HappyRoom” units equipped with kitchenettes. Amenities at the property include swimming pools, function rooms, a business center, a gym, convenience store, laundry facilities, and more than 200 parking spaces.

The hotel’s restaurant, HBNB Kitchen, is operated by Valencia-based Grupo La Sucursal.
