International news
Lodges and resorts built under the “Dine for Ethiopia” initiative are set to begin operations soon. Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew made this announcement on August 11, 2024, highlighting the project’s goal to enhance tourism in Ethiopia.

The lodges, including Halala Kela Resort and Chebera Elephant Paw Lodge, aim to boost the country’s tourism potential and economic growth.

The “Dine for Ethiopia” initiative has led to the construction of several lodges and resorts across the country. These facilities are strategically located in the Oromia and Amhara regions, designed to attract both local and international tourists. The Ethiopian Airlines Group will manage these lodges, ensuring high standards of service and hospitality.

The Gorgora Ecolodge has already commenced operations, setting the standard for the other lodges. It offers guests a unique blend of comfort and nature, making it an ideal destination for eco-tourism enthusiasts. The remaining lodges will open in the coming weeks, further enhancing Ethiopia’s tourism landscape.

Looking ahead, Ethiopian Airlines plans to expand its domestic flight connections to remote tourist destinations. This includes utilizing small aircraft that can land on both land and water, making it easier for tourists to access various attractions across Ethiopia.
