ECKO Hotels expands portfolio to 12 properties nationwide
ECKO Hotels & Resorts, a recently established hospitality brand in India, has announced a rapid expansion with the opening of multiple new locations across the country. Launched in April 2025 with properties in Rishikesh, Tapovan and Haridwar, the chain has added more than 1,000 keys in just four months.
Its portfolio now includes hotels in Pandukeshwar, Badrinath, Amritsar, Dehradun, Puri, Goa, Alibaug, Lansdowne and Udaipur, bringing the total to 12 properties nationwide.
The company is focusing on spiritual tourism as a primary growth segment, while also targeting meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), weddings and leisure travel. This approach is aimed at capturing demand from both domestic and international visitors as well as niche markets such as pilgrimage tourism, heritage travel, weekend getaways and coastal retreats.
ECKO’s expansion strategy is built on offering upscale properties that combine modern amenities with strong local connections. Each location is designed to reflect the cultural and natural characteristics of its surroundings. For example, its Himalayan retreats in Uttarakhand focus on serenity and wellness, while properties in Puri and Amritsar cater to spiritual travellers. Goa and Alibaug provide coastal experiences, Udaipur showcases regal heritage, and destinations like Dehradun and Lansdowne highlight natural landscapes.
