Drone allegedly used to spy on female tourist in Sanya hotel

In Sanya, Hainan Province, a female tourist has reported being possibly filmed by a drone while taking a shower in her hotel room. The local police confirmed on Saturday, 8th February, that they had received a report from the victim, Ms. Song, and are currently investigating the matter.
According to police statements, they received the call from Ms. Song at 2.38am last Friday. Following the report, an immediate investigation was initiated. The leadership office for the tourism market in the Tianya District stated that they would actively pursue the case and take a firm stance against any illegal activities that infringe upon tourists’ rights, ensuring strict enforcement of the law to maintain safety and stability in the local tourism sector.
Reports indicate that Ms. Song was staying on the top floor of the Sanya Tian Ze Hai Jing Hotel when the incident occurred, as she was bathing in the balcony bathroom at the time.
