Customs officer found dead after lodging with three women in Katsina hotel

An officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), identified as an Assistant Superintendent of Customs, has been found dead after lodging with three women in a hotel in Katsina State. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, October 15, was first reported by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama.

According to Makama, the officer had checked into Murjani Hotel, located in the heart of Katsina metropolis, where he reportedly spent the night with three women.

Hotel staff were said to have discovered the officer’s lifeless body in his room around 8:30 a.m. and immediately raised the alarm.

Quoting hotel sources, Makama said some empty sachets of suspected substances were found in the wastebasket of the room.

Three women were reportedly in the hotel at the time of the incident. It was gathered that two spent the night with the deceased, while a third visited them later and also lodged in the same hotel,” he said.

The officer’s body was taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Katsina, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.
