Judge Mary Dorgan adjourned the case against Paul O’Sullivan, 35, who lives at an apartment at Deerpark, Friars Walk, Cork, until April 23 at Cork District Court.
Garda Kate Bohane charged the young man with stealing the computer and cables from a conference room at the Maldron Hotel on South Mall, Cork, on March 12.
Applying for bail, defence solicitor, Eddie Burke said that when gardaí stopped the defendant he cooperated with gardaí, did not give a false name or anything like that and all of the goods in question were recovered.
Garda Bohane agreed with these suggestions.
Judge Dorgan required him to sign daily at Anglesea Street garda station and to stay out of the Maldron Hotel as conditions of his bail.
