Christie & Co markets the Peel Hotels portfolio

 As chairman Robert Peel plans for retirement, Christie & Co has been appointed to sell the Peel Hotels portfolio.

Available for purchase are Crown & Mitre Hotel, George Hotel, Bull Hotel and Caledonian Hotel. The properties may be bought individually or as a group.

An Edwardian hotel in Carlisle, the Crown & Mitre features 91 bedrooms, a 41-cover restaurant, a bar and six function rooms including a 400-person ballroom.

George Hotel, located in Wallington, Oxfordshire, is a 16th century Grade II-listed coaching inn. The 39-key property offers a 50-cover restaurant and bar along with two function suites.

The company’s founding property, Peterborough’s Bull Hotel, is a 17th century Grade II-listed site. It features 118 rooms alongside a brasserie, bar and lounge, and five event suites with space for up to 250 guests.

Caledonian Hotel, in Newcastle’s Jesmond neighborhood, has 89 en suite rooms. Amenities include The Phoenix Bar & Restaurant, an alfresco terrace and seven event rooms for up to 100 guests.
