According to a report in the South China Morning Post, the woman, identified only by her surname Li, was at a hotel reception in Chongqing, southwestern China, during the May Day holiday. While searching for her digital ID card after forgetting her physical one, Li’s phone automatically connected to the hotel’s Wi-Fi, leading to an unexpected revelation.
Both Li and her boyfriend, locals from Chongqing, noticed this, which made the man suspicious. He asked if Li had been to the hotel before, possibly with someone else. Li tried to reassure him that it was her first time there, but still, she couldn’t explain why her phone auto-connected to the Wi-Fi. This led to a heated argument between them.
The man was convinced that Li was hiding something, and he started questioning her loyalty. He assumed that her phone had connected to the hotel’s Wi-Fi because she had visited it with someone else before. He ended the relationship without giving her a chance to explain. Li tried to explain the situation, but the man wouldn’t listen. Even her friends didn’t believe her.
