Chef Davinder Kumar Launches Romance of the Indian Curry

The capital witnessed an extraordinary celebration of flavours and traditions at the launch of Romance of the Indian Curry, authored by celebrated chef Davinder Kumar, Vice President – F&B, Le Méridien New Delhi, and President of the Indian Culinary Forum. The event, hosted at Le Méridien New Delhi in association with Shubhi Publications, brought together stalwarts from gastronomy, hospitality, and culture.

The evening’s highlight was the unveiling of the book by Amitabh Kant, former CEO of NITI Aayog and India’s G20 Sherpa, alongside Chef Davinder Kumar. Praising the work, Mr. Kant said, “With 365 recipes, Romance of the Indian Curry is more than a book—it’s a celebration of India’s food heritage, allowing one to experience its richness every day of the year.”

Sharing his inspiration, Chef Kumar noted, “This book honours India’s culinary traditions and is a tribute to our diverse flavours. It is also an invitation for the next generation of chefs to innovate while carrying our heritage forward.”

The event was graced by cultural icons and hospitality leaders including Pratibha Prahlad (Padma Shri awardee), Tarun Thakral (Executive Director, Le Méridien New Delhi), and other distinguished guests.
