Located on Rua do Jardim do Regedor, the hotel sits inside Benfica’s former headquarters and marks a clear step by the club into the hospitality and lifestyle space.
The project, delivered in partnership with the Benfica Foundation and FLH Hotels, is less about nostalgia for its own sake and more about giving the club’s history a new, practical role.
Each of the 56 guest rooms are mini museums of different eras in Benfica’s story, while shared spaces use artwork and design to highlight legends of the club.
This kind of move into real estate and accommodation is becoming more common at the top of the game. Football clubs are increasingly attaching their names, stories, and symbols to lifestyle assets that live beyond the stadium.
Paris Saint-Germain has already taken this approach with PSG-branded hotels, using hospitality as a way to extend the club’s presence into everyday life and global travel, not just matchdays.
