Beckons Hotel Brand Launches With Nine Lodges Across Four Continents

International news
Beckons has officially launched, uniting the Baillie Lodges and Tierra Hotels portfolios under one brand. The new luxury hospitality brand debuts with nine lodges in Australia, New Zealand, Chile, and Canada, and plans for further expansion. Each property in the portfolio averages 25 suites.

The Beckons portfolio includes Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, Longitude 131° at Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa, Capella Lodge on Lord Howe Island, Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree Rainforest, and The Louise in the Barossa Valley in Australia. Huka Lodge in Taupō represents the brand in New Zealand. In the Americas, the portfolio features Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge on Vancouver Island, Canada, and Tierra Atacama and Tierra Patagonia in Chile.

Beckons has invested approximately US$100 million in its portfolio over the past several years. Recent milestones include the renovation and redesign of Huka Lodge and Tierra Atacama, both of which reopened in early 2025, and the reopening of Southern Ocean Lodge in late 2023 following the 2019 bushfires on Kangaroo Island. Planned developments include new wellness facilities at Silky Oaks Lodge and The Louise in Australia, and new premium suites at Tierra Patagonia, with expansion continuing into 2026.

Beckons is led by Chief Executive Officer Michael Crawford. The company plans to add new lodges and experiences to its portfolio while maintaining its operational standards.
