The rating, now integrated on BCD platforms, gives hotels a score from one to 10 for their performance in processing virtual cards, based on transactional data captured via the Conferma Connect solution. As such, only hotels enrolled in Conferma Connect will receive a score, as the rating does not base scores on manual reporting.
With the scores, travellers and agents can filter hotel search results to ensure they select a hotel with a high acceptance rating. Buyers also can use the ratings to benchmark their suppliers and make negotiating decisions, according to the companies.
The rating currently is available globally to mutual customers of BCD Travel and Conferma. Data behind the rating is updated monthly, with Conferma reporting 95,000 hotels within its database and a global virtual card acceptance rate of 90 per cent.
