Aroma360 and Hotel Collection File Multiple Lawsuits Against Scentiment for Brand Theft
Aroma360 and Hotel Collection, leading luxury lifestyle and scenting sister brands, have filed lawsuits against Scentiment for willful infringement of their trademarks "Aroma360", "Hotel Collection", and "Bring the Hotel Home", among other violations of their IP rights to the tune of tens of millions of dollars.
g Hotel Collection's marks and taglines, Scentiment has adopted packaging and branding elements that mimic and copy Hotel Collection's signature look and feel. These efforts appear to be intended to mislead consumers and capitalize on Hotel Collection's reputation for luxury, originality, and innovation.
The complaints filed highlight violations of the Lanham Act, the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, and Florida common law. Aroma360 first introduced the "Hotel Collection" brand for fragrances as early as 2015 at www.aroma360.com, and made the brand standalone in October 2020 at www.hotelcollection.com. From its founding in mid-2022, Scentiment's actions have confused consumers into believing that its products are affiliated, sponsored, or endorsed by Hotel Collection.
