Accor Brings Handwritten Collection To Istanbul With Levni Hotel Opening

International news
Levni Group, recognized for its two prestigious hotels located in Istanbul’s Historic Peninsula, has teamed up with Accor, a global leader in the hospitality industry, to introduce Levni Hotel Istanbul Handwritten Collection.

Aydın Karacabay, Chairman of Levni Hotels, expressed his pride in enhancing Istanbul’s tourism landscape with this unique collaboration. He highlighted that this project marks the debut of Accor’s collection and boutique-style hotel concept not only in Turkey but across the entire Middle East and Africa, bringing a fresh perspective to the region’s luxury hotel offerings.

Aydın Karacabay shared his perspective on the current challenges facing the tourism sector. Although the post-pandemic recovery had gained momentum, 2024 presented new hurdles due to geopolitical conflicts, rising inflation, and other global concerns. Nonetheless, the strong occupancy rates observed in October and November have rekindled optimism for a more promising 2025.

Karacabay noted that the majority of visitors to the Historic Peninsula come from Europe, while tourists from the Middle East often gravitate towards more modern, shopping-oriented areas. He also highlighted a potential issue for the industry: Gulf countries offering higher salaries to attract skilled tourism professionals from Turkey. This has raised concerns about a potential brain drain, particularly in management roles, as experienced personnel may be drawn to better opportunities abroad.
