Accor bets big on Oracle OPERA Cloud to unify hotel operations across 110 countries

International news
Accor, one of the world’s largest hospitality groups, is undertaking a bold digital transformation, standardising its global property management systems on Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud. The deployment spans 5,500+ hotels in 110 countries, covering everything from economy brands like Ibis to luxury icons like Raffles and Sofitel.

Running a hotel is a data-intensive business - booking systems, room inventories, guest profiles, catering, and event spaces all need to interact seamlessly. Historically, large groups like Accor have relied on fragmented, property-level systems, leading to inconsistencies in service delivery and limited data integration.

Accor chief distribution officer Jean Noel Lau Keng Lun (pictured) said, "implementing a global cloud-based PMS is part of our drive to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for guests, and to optimise operations across our global footprint. Oracle’s collaborative spirit has transformed our engagement from that of a technology provider into a true strategic business partner.”

The deal cements Oracle’s position against rivals like Sabre and Amadeus in the hotel technology stack. By anchoring operations, guest data, and events management in the Oracle ecosystem, Accor is effectively aligning its digital core with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring scalability for decades to come.
