She was the first in the queue to secure a sunbed at 6.30am despite the security guard - who was wearing a blue T-shirt with seguridad [security] written on it in a photo - not arriving to unlock the gates to the pool at 8.40am. By that time, more than 100 people were queuing, Wendy claimed.

Wendy spoke about the scenes she witnessed. She told The Sun she had seen fights break out when people push in. She added: “When the gates open it’s like a stampede.
