The Food Standards Agency is in charge of inspecting and rating hospitality venues on a zero to five scale, zero is the lowest score and five is the highest.

The inspectors judged the restaurant with regard to hygienic food handing, cleanliness and the condition of facilities and management of food safety.

Looking at the distribution of hygiene ratings in the area only 1.2 per cent of establishments have a rating of one-out-of-five whilst 60.1 per cent of establishments have a rating of five-out-of-five. None have a zero rating.
