Through this partnership, they will be able to provide operational and project management services to third parties in the future.
Over the past 25 years, Wing has become one of the leading players in the real estate market in Hungary and the Central European region. It has a significant share in the real estate markets of Germany, Poland, and Hungary.
The company has been present in the hotel market for a decade and has now become one of the stable players in the domestic hotel development market. Its completed projects include the newly opened Tribe Budapest Airport Hotel at Liszt Ferenc International Airport and the Ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, also located at the airport, which is the capital’s first terminal hotel. Wing has already delivered a total of more than 1,000 hotel rooms.
In addition to hotel development, it sees significant potential in the field of professional hotel management, and the recently concluded strategic partnership with Accent takes this competence to a new level: With this step, Wing and Accent are both strengthening their role in the domestic hotel market and, by working together, are offering a background in hotel management that could also be valuable to new investors.
“We are open to providing operational and project management services to third parties,” said Ernő Takács, Wing’s deputy CEO responsible for hotels and retail projects. As an operating partner, Accent provides comprehensive hotel expertise.
The Budapest-based company operates more than 2,000 rooms in 29 hotels in Hungary and Austria for various property owners and is actively expanding its portfolio in the market. Their hotel portfolio includes Marriott, Best Western, and Accor hotels.
“In our joint venture, we now want to combine this knowledge and expertise with Wing’s experience in real estate development and management so that we can operate their hotel investments as successfully as possible from a business perspective,” emphasized Imre Csordás, managing director of Accent Hotel Management Kft.
This is not the first time the two companies have collaborated. Wing and Accent’s first joint hotel project was the Best Western Plus Lakeside Hotel in Székesfehérvár (western Hungary), which opened in 2015. Wing is the developer and owner of the hotel, while Accent Hotel Management Kft. has been entrusted with operational tasks for ten years, and a franchise agreement has been signed with the American hotel chain for the use of the Best Western brand name.
The two companies are now taking their cooperation to the next level and establishing a joint venture to provide hotel management and development services. The joint operation will start with the Best Western Plus Lakeside Hotel in Székesfehérvár as the first hotel, with plans to add more hotels in the future.
