The International Hotel & Property Awards celebrates excellence in hospitality design, interior design and property design. Thousands of industry professionals cast their vote in a unique voting system to determine this year’s winners, who will be revealed during a ceremony in London in September.
As the creative leader of Megre Interiors, a Los Angeles-based creative house specializing in hospitality design, Yuna has won nearly 40 international awards and completed more than 200 projects across 14 countries in a career that spans over 15 years. With her background as a restaurateur and her extensive portfolio of restaurant design projects for the world’s top hotel operators.
“These recognitions in this new awards season further validate Megre Interiors’ commitment to design quality and excellence,” says Yuna Megre, who has already this year received two Muse Awards. “We take great pride in our work and this milestone inspires us to continue to push boundaries and set new benchmarks in the industry.”
Yuna says the firm’s strong hospitality background and a unique ability to connect with clients have contributed to Megre Interiors’ award-winning interior design work.
“We always work from the perspective that we are part of the project team,” she says. “We're not separate consultants; we walk together with the client in this journey of creation.”
Megre Interiors’ second restaurant designed for a large hotel chain, takes inspiration from the peaceful landscapes on the banks of Voronezh River. Offering a refreshingly new design approach to a traditional hotel restaurant, the project features a neutral color scheme with golden shades of oak wood that evoke autumn coastal landscapes and Indian summer.
“Although the restaurant is located in the center of a metropolis, we were able to create an atmosphere that evokes a feeling of relaxation and a refreshing energy, drawing inspiration from the peaceful local nature,” says Yuna.
Another major hotel that Megre Interiors worked on, located in a small historical building, had been a nine-month design project where Yuna picked a color scheme based on a play of warm shades of grey and sand, creating a cozy atmosphere inside.
“We completed work on the hotel over nine months and it has been a complete success story since it was launched. It is now considered one of the most stylish and best hotels in St.
Petersburg, and we take great pride in our work on this landmark property,” says Yuna.
Yuna Megre, who completed her Interior Design studies at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, is a member of several international design associations and committees, including the British Institute of Interior Design. The public speaker and interior design guru, who also holds a Business Management degree from Cardiff University, established Megre Interiors in 2008 shortly after finishing her Interior Design studies and has since grown the company with projects across the US, Europe and Asia.
