Victor Clavell, a seasoned hotelier, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Urban Resort Concepts (URC). In his new role, he will oversee the management of the company’s portfolio, drive operational excellence, and spearhead expansion efforts across Asia and beyond.

Victor Clavell brings more than 30 years of luxury hotel management expertise to his new position, boasting a proven track record with prestigious global brands. His vast experience in the hospitality industry spans continents and includes nearly three decades with Marriott International’s luxury segment. Although much of his tenure with Marriott was based in Europe, Victor relocated to Asia in 2010 when he assumed the role of Area Vice President for Asia-Pacific. In this capacity, he was responsible for leading The Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, and EDITION brands throughout the region, while also overseeing the development of 27 new properties.

In 2020, Victor was appointed Chief Operating Officer at AMAALA, an ultra-luxury project under Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Rosewood Hotels in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean.

Victor Clavell is a distinguished graduate of the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, where he earned a Master of Science in International Hotel Management. He also holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Barcelona and completed an Executive Education program at Harvard Business School in 2019. With a rich international background, Victor is a native speaker of English, Spanish, and Catalan, fluent in French, and conversant in Italian. In his latest role, which brings him back to Asia, Victor will be based in Hong Kong.
